Leadership Team
Kao Data’s leadership team is pivotal to the company’s strong foundations, rapid development and strategic forward vision:
David Bloom
- Chairman
Having founded Kao Data in 2014, David served as Board Member and in September 2023 became the company’s Chairman. David has a wide-ranging background with over 17 years’ experience in the technology, media and telecommunications industry as an investor, founder and investment manager. He has personally overseen the deployment of more than £500m of equity investment.
Spencer Lamb
- MD & CCO
Spencer Lamb is Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Kao Data. Having held previous leadership positions at data centre companies, Spencer brings over 25 years of experience in data centre colocation, AI, HPC, hyperscale cloud and telecommunications to the business.
Matthew Harris
- CFO
Formerly a founding board member and Investor Director, Matthew became Kao Data’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in September 2021. Previously Matthew was CFO at Goldacre Ventures, overseeing significant growth and securing over £250m of funding for portfolio companies.
Kalay Moodley
- CPO
Kalay is the Chief People Officer (CPO) at Kao Data and brings a wealth of Human Resources (HR) experience, with her last decade focused on the data centre space. Kalay has held HR leadership roles at Interxion, Digital Reality, and most recently, with a stealth startup within the industry.
Pete Judson
- COO
Pete is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Kao Data and brings with him an extensive amount of operational, leadership and transformational experience gained over the last 30 years in the critical services industry.
Clinton Hasell
- CBO
Clinton Hasell is Chief Business Officer at Kao Data, bringing over 30 years’ commercial experience in the data centre and wider digital and telecommunications sector. Previously he held leadership roles at Interxion/Digital Realty, Colt, Cable & Wireless, and most recently led the European division at Global Switch.
